1. ====> Veerhouven Ventures Is Looking For A Few Good Miners. - in Alliance and Corporation Recruitment Center [original thread]
Unfortunately, applications haven't slowed down, but they are responding to our in-game ad, and not this. The Security Chief's computer is down. He lives in a small village on Gibraltar. It appears that computer repair is not a common occupation ...

Let me see if I can make this clearer. IF YOU ARE FROM THE US, DO NOT APPLY . We don't want you, you probably won't pass the interview, and if you get caught you will have a very short career in the corp.

War decced again? Well they aren't getting a cherry. We have been war decced somewhere between 22 and 27 times. Out if all that, I think we have lost 3 ships and one pod. The thing is, if you have a tested plan for war deccs, they cost you nothin...

Oddly enough, applications didn't drop. Just the number of people who have been reading the new requirements. I was forced to send two people the "Don't Apply Again' message today. They either didn't read, or maybe understand the requirements. Th...

The situation has changed. I accepted three applicants who could not meet our most basic standards. So, the rules have changed. If you can't prove that you are over 25, and not from the US, don't bother applying. Waste of time for both of us. C...

7. Question About Using Sentry Drones For Mining Protection In Low Sec - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
I'd like to support some mining ops in Low Sec Gallente space. First, has anyone had any success with this? Next, if so, what sentry drones did you use?

Lots of activity lately, Several new applicants, and we tried a day when we ran Incursions and missions instead of mining. The POS project is shaping up. The system has good ore up to Jaspet. I need to put some people in there to keep the ganker...

Well, we have 14 members now. That changes things a little. We've been running daily mining ops for more than a week, and we have brought in quite a bit of ore. The ore split spreadsheet is finally finished, bur it's a little delicate. I may tur...

During the last week we have recruited 9 good miners. Unfortunately, we've also had applications from a liar, a thief, and 2 x awoxers. So recruiting has been changed a little. If you apply, I give your name to the other members of the corp to r...

11. Has The Michi's Implant Been Nerfed? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
I checked it out with my miner. Pretty disappointing. Yield is still at 1360 m3/Strip miner per cycle. Cycle time has actually gone up from 80 seconds to 82.8 seconds. What a piece of garbage. Either that or I don't understand what it is doing.

12. Has The Michi's Implant Been Nerfed? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
I assumed that, if the way it had been implemented had changed, the new numbers would show up pretty soon in Evelopedia, but that is where I saw the reference to yield.

I forgot to mention that VEERV is really small now. I've decided I'd like to concentrate on new miners/players. Hopefully people who haven't learned the same old bad tricks and techniques. We have our own freighter, so no big corp operation to mo...

I've just come back after maybe a year away and I'm trying to put the corporation together again. Veerhouven has been mining in Hi Sec Domain (Amarr space) for years. We have found some nice places to mine. One of my alts flies an Obelisk, so ge...

16. Sentry Drones - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
I'll try that, but after they became more of a hazard than an asset, I have been a little reluctant to deploy them. Sentry drones aren't as expensive as Orcas, but I still have problems wasting my drones. They are kind of like people.

Ok. I downloaded the Offline install packages. Oddly enough they ended up in the Downloads directory. But I don't think you mentioned what I need to do with them. Do I have to be inside Wine to unpack them?

19. Sentry Drones - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
This isn't exactly on topic, but I have never had any luck using sentry drones with my Orca. I seem to end up rescuing the drones rather than doing any damage. I realize that target range makes a big difference. When the bad guys are close, trave...
